This Privacy policy describes how ABYOU LLC (“we”, “us”), operating the SmileLumi store, collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit this website, place an order, or contact us. This store is hosted by Shopify. If this policy conflicts with our Terms of Service on a privacy issue, this policy controls.

By using the site or buying from us, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Shopify Inc. hosts the store and processes personal information to run checkout, payments, and the admin tools we use. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address.
  • Order and payment details — items, amounts, and payment confirmation. Card numbers are handled by Shopify and its payment partners, not stored in full on our own servers.
  • Account details — if you create an account: email, password (stored hashed by Shopify), and order history.
  • Messages — what you send via the contact form, email, or returns.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical data, including through cookies.

Where it comes from

  • Directly from you (checkout, account, email, contact form).
  • Automatically from your device when you browse (cookies and similar tools).
  • From service providers acting for us (Shopify, payment, shipping, email, ads).

How we use it

  • To take and fulfill orders, ship the kit, handle returns, and provide customer service.
  • To prevent fraud and keep checkout secure.
  • To send order and shipping emails. We may also send marketing email if you opt in or if the law allows; you can unsubscribe in every marketing message.
  • To measure site performance and, where permitted, show ads (including through Meta / Facebook & Instagram if that sales channel is connected).
  • To comply with law, taxes, and accounting, and to defend legal claims.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with:

  • Shopify and its subprocessors (hosting, payments, analytics).
  • Carriers and fulfillment partners, so they can deliver your order.
  • Email and customer-support tools we use to answer you (including our support inbox).
  • Advertising partners such as Meta, if you use the site and ads are running, subject to your cookie and opt-out choices.
  • Authorities when the law requires it, or a buyer of the business if we are involved in a merger or sale.

Cookies

We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies for the cart, login, security, analytics, and (where allowed) advertising. You can block cookies in your browser; essential cookies may still be needed for checkout to work.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, email contact@smilelumi.com and we will delete it.

Retention and security

We keep order records as long as needed for returns, taxes, and accounting, then delete or de-identify them when we no longer need them. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including Australia under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and the UK/EEA if you order from there), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal a refusal. Email contact@smilelumi.com to make a request. We may need to verify who you are. We will not deny service solely because you exercised a privacy right the law gives you.

Australian customers may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if we cannot resolve a privacy concern. ABYOU LLC is the controller of SmileLumi store data. Shopify hosts the store and may process data outside Australia (including in the United States); Shopify uses approved transfer tools where required.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and post the new version on this page.
